Web Design

2024
Berg Austria began with a purity we could feel - before a single drop of oil touched the skin.
It was present in the way they spoke about origin. About clarity. About doing one thing exceptionally well.
Their products are made in the Alps, but they feel like they belong on a lab bench and in a design museum at the same time.
So our task was simple, but not easy: to build an identity that’s as precise as the product - and as quiet as the mountains it comes from.
Identity
We started by listening. To the landscape. To the founder. To the silence between sentences.
The brand is built around three core traits: alpine purity, scientific integrity, and understated confidence.
We didn’t try to amplify them - we just stripped away everything that wasn’t that.
The aesthetic is minimalist but never cold. It’s grounded, but light. And the palette - anchored in red and white - is a nod to Austria, yes, but also to contrast. To boldness in a sea of greens and browns.
Berg doesn’t want to look natural. It is.

Logo
The logo is entirely typographic.
A custom wordmark - clean, modernist, and spatially balanced.
It doesn’t need a symbol. The name is the mark. The letters are the voice.
There’s strength in how still it stands.
Each form is open and exact - communicating purity, trust, and control without ever saying them aloud.

Typography
Berg’s typography system balances warmth and discipline - science wrapped in silence.
We chose Champagne & Limousines as the lead typeface for its rare combination of softness and order. Rounded, approachable, but never informal, it brings a certain poise to headings and product names without needing to raise its voice.
Supporting it, Montserrat adds structure and force. It holds the grid together - especially in dense product content - without ever feeling mechanical.
Together, they form a voice that is modern but quiet, confident but clean. Typography that doesn’t decorate, but defines.

Colors
Berg’s palette is restrained, but never passive.
- Brand Red (#E22A28): Not warm, not soft—just decisive. A controlled pulse of energy.
- Black (#131313): For structure and gravity.
- Light Grey (#F6F7F7): For air, for calm.
- White (#FFFFFF): For everything else.
Together, these colors create contrast without conflict. Nothing is ornamental. Every hue earns its place.

Website Design
We designed the website the same way Berg formulates its oils: sparingly, and with precision.
It’s quiet, fast, and deliberate. Navigation is intuitive, structure is clean, and every page feels intentional.
White space dominates - allowing the red to punctuate like a thought.
Transitions are subtle. Microinteractions exist not to entertain, but to reassure.
The product is the hero, always.
Never surrounded by noise - just clarity.

Product Storytelling / Applications
Berg’s oils come from alpine botanicals - but they’re refined with scientific precision.
We wanted the storytelling to live in that intersection. So the copy is minimal. The images are focused. The tone is calm.
Photography is sharp and atmospheric - evoking both purity and presence.
White space does the heavy lifting. And red appears like memory - flashes that guide without pulling.
Each product isn’t just shown. It’s respected.
Berg is where nature meets intention.
Where confidence doesn’t need a voice.
And where design exists not to persuade, but to reflect something already true.
